How it is built
- From stored snapshots, not a fresh query
- The digest reads snapshots the audit has already written. It queries no CRM of its own, which is why it cannot disagree with the audit it summarises.
- A metric only trends against comparable runs
- Endpoints are chosen per metric, from runs that actually collected that metric. Not every run collects every metric, and comparing runs that measured different things would report a change that never happened.
- A figure that cannot be measured says so
- Where a number cannot be produced honestly, the digest prints the reason instead of a zero. A zero is a measurement; an absence is not. Where a metric’s calculation has changed, it restarts the baseline rather than trending across the change.
- A failed send is visible
- Every send is written to a log with its recipients and period. A render failure exits non-zero and writes a failure marker rather than sending an empty report, and a separate check reads the log afterwards to confirm the send happened.
